Forecasts from the National Weather Service and major models indicate an overnight low near 77–79°F for Austin on September 13 amid persistent southerly flow and a strong heat dome that limits nocturnal cooling. This keeps the daily minimum anchored in the mid-to-upper 70s, well above the September climatological average of about 69°F, while daytime highs near 100°F further suppress radiative cooling. Model consensus shows limited spread in boundary-layer moisture and wind speeds, though small shifts in cloud cover or wind could nudge the low by a degree or two. Trader odds reflect this narrow expected range alongside tail risks from forecast revisions or localized variations, with upcoming model runs and NWS updates likely to refine the final reading before resolution.
