National Weather Service forecasts and model guidance for New York City on September 14, 2026, converge on a daytime high near 76°F at Central Park under partly to mostly sunny skies after Sunday’s rain clears, with northwest winds advecting cooler, drier air. This places the 76-77°F bin as the market leader at 54.5% implied probability, ahead of the 78-79°F range at 24.5%. Historical mid-September normals hover in the low-to-mid 70s, but recent guidance shows limited upward bias from residual moisture or urban heat effects. Traders appear to weigh the narrow window for any late-day warming against the high likelihood of the official reading falling in the mid-70s, with final resolution tied to verified observations rather than models.
