Trader consensus favors the 56-57°F range for San Francisco’s lowest temperature on September 14, driven by National Weather Service and NOAA ensemble forecasts showing a persistent marine layer and onshore flow that typically caps coastal nighttime cooling in mid-September. These conditions limit warming potential above 60°F while making sub-50°F readings improbable absent a strong cold-air intrusion, which current model guidance does not support. Historical climatology places average September lows near 55°F, aligning with the market’s clustering around the mid-50s. Fresh model runs and any shifts in the marine inversion strength tomorrow will provide the key updates ahead of resolution.
