Recent polling for Sweden's September 13 parliamentary election shows Vänsterpartiet and Centerpartiet trading narrow leads in the 6-8% range, often within margins of error and producing the close trader consensus reflected in current odds. Vänsterpartiet draws support from left-leaning voters focused on welfare expansion and climate measures within the broader red-green bloc, while Centerpartiet has gained modestly in some surveys through emphasis on rural economic issues, decentralization, and environmental policy alongside openness to centrist alliances. The parties' similar vote shares, combined with ongoing fluctuations in bloc positioning ahead of the vote, sustain competitive balance; late-campaign shifts in turnout among rural or urban demographics, or any bloc realignments, could alter the final tally.
