The Rosemont riding remains a closely contested toss-up in the October 5 Quebec general election, with trader consensus reflecting tight implied probabilities between Parti Québécois candidate Pierre-Luc Brillant and Québec solidaire nominee Gisèle Pouhe Njall. The district’s recent shift from QS incumbent Vincent Marissal, who sat as an independent after leaving his caucus, has opened space for a PQ challenge in a historically left-leaning Montreal seat. Recent candidate announcements and the August 27 writ drop have kept focus on local priorities such as health care infrastructure and housing, without decisive polling separation between the two frontrunners. Additional factors that could widen margins include turnout among progressive voters, late campaign events, or shifts in provincial party momentum before nomination deadlines close.
