Loranne Ausley holds the strongest position among traders ahead of Tuesday’s nonpartisan primary, reflecting her established name recognition from prior service in the Florida Senate and legislature, plus early fundraising advantages in an open-seat contest. Jeremy Matlow remains competitive on the strength of his city commission tenure and local base, while Daryl Parks draws limited support and Michael Foust trails sharply. A July poll showed Ausley at 29 percent and Matlow at 24 percent with 31 percent undecided, underscoring the tight head-to-head dynamics. With no majority likely, the outcome hinges on turnout among key voting blocs and any last-minute endorsements or attacks that could consolidate support before the top two advance to the November runoff.
