Lula maintains a commanding position in trader consensus for first place in Pernambuco's 2026 presidential first round, backed by consistent statewide polling showing him at 54-58% against Flávio Bolsonaro's 19-25% and single-digit shares for remaining candidates. The state serves as a Northeast electoral base for the PT, reinforced by Lula's personal ties as a native and sustained government approval ratings near 60%. Recent surveys from Real Time Big Data and Datafolha in mid-September confirm this double-digit margin without notable erosion from campaign developments. Potential shifts could stem from late-cycle turnout variations, coalition adjustments among opposition parties, or unforeseen eligibility rulings, though no such factors have altered the current distribution in the latest data.
