Guinea-Bissau’s December 2026 legislative elections follow a November 2025 coup that annulled prior results and installed a transitional military-led government, creating a fragmented contest for the 102-seat National People’s Assembly. Platforma Republicana “Nô Kumpu Guiné” holds the highest implied probability at 30.7 percent, ahead of smaller parties including FLING, PS, MUNDO-GB, FREPASNA, and PT, reflecting a wide-open field with no party near a majority. Key differentiators include coalition-building capacity, regional and ethnic support bases, positions on restoring civilian rule and economic stability, and perceived distance from or alignment with transitional authorities. Consolidation behind one contender could hinge on pre-election alliances, campaign momentum, or international election monitoring outcomes that shift trader assessments of likely seat shares.
