**Trader consensus has coalesced strongly around 68-69°F as the lowest temperature recorded in Los Angeles on September 15, 2026, driven by preliminary National Weather Service observations from Los Angeles International Airport and downtown stations.** These readings showed overnight minima in that narrow range under mostly cloudy conditions with light southeast winds and elevated dew points near 60°F, limiting radiational cooling compared to the long-term September average low of about 64°F. Marine layer influence and weak onshore flow suppressed further temperature drops, aligning with model guidance that consistently projected mid-to-upper 60s rather than cooler values. This outcome sits well above historical extremes for the date while remaining consistent with recent years' warmer September nights. Only a significant post-event data revision or use of an alternate official station could realistically alter the resolution.
