Incumbent Republican Chris Hill secured his party's nomination for Collin County Judge with 78% of the vote in the March 2026 primary, defeating challenger Rick Grady. He faces Democratic nominee John R. "Buster" Brown in the November 3 general election. Collin County's strong Republican lean and Hill's record on low property taxes, limited government, and managing rapid growth have anchored trader consensus around his reelection prospects. No major new developments have emerged since the primaries concluded, leaving limited room for shifts absent late-cycle events such as turnout changes or unexpected endorsements. Brown advanced unopposed in the Democratic primary, but faces structural headwinds in the general election.
