Argentina’s August monthly inflation print of 1.7%—the lowest in 14 months and matching analyst consensus—has anchored trader expectations for September near 1.6–2.1%, with the two leading bins nearly tied. Persistent peso stability, lower regulated-price adjustments, and core CPI at 1.8% support the disinflation trend under the current policy framework, yet seasonal factors, food-price volatility, and any utility or transport repricings could push the reading toward the upper end of that range. Year-to-date inflation stands at 21.3% with annual CPI at 33.5%, while economists’ year-end forecasts hover near 30%. The September release, due in mid-October, will serve as the next key data point shaping near-term probability shifts.
