Persistent marine layer influence and onshore flow from the Pacific are suppressing daytime heating in Seattle, keeping National Weather Service and model consensus centered on highs in the upper 60s to low 70s for August 30—well below the climatological average near 75°F. Lingering cloud cover, residual moisture from prior showers, light winds, and a stable boundary layer further limit solar insolation and warming potential, positioning the 70-71°F bin as the market leader at 41.5% implied probability. Limited afternoon clearing could allow brief spikes toward 72°F in some guidance, supporting the secondary 68-69°F and 72-73°F outcomes, while any stronger marine push would favor cooler readings. Traders are weighting official Seattle-Tacoma International Airport observations, with final resolution hinging on the day's maximum reading.
