Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Seattle highlight an upper-level trough and onshore flow driving cloud cover, morning showers, and limited daytime heating on August 29, with highs expected in the 60s to lower 70s. Model consensus and official guidance from NOAA point to suppressed temperatures below the late-August climatological average of near 75°F, positioning 68-69°F and 66-67°F as the most probable ranges given the persistent marine influence and precipitation. Traders appear to weigh the risk of slight warming under partial afternoon sun against the cooling effects of rain and stratus, with lower probabilities assigned to outcomes above 70°F that would require clearer skies or a faster system departure.
