Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and other models points to an overnight low in the upper 70s for Houston on August 30, driven by clear skies, light southerly winds, and high dew points that limit radiative cooling under persistent late-summer high pressure. Historical climatology shows a normal minimum near 75°F, with recent days recording lows of 74–80°F amid similar humid conditions and urban heat retention. Model spreads create tight probabilities across 72–81°F bins, as small variations in cloud cover or wind could shift the exact minimum by a few degrees before official observation at primary stations.
