Current NWS forecasts for Atlanta on September 17 project a sunny high near 93°F under easterly winds of 5–15 mph, supporting strong solar heating and minimal cloud cover or precipitation. This aligns with late-summer climatology featuring above-average warmth relative to the 83°F historical mean, driven by typical subtropical high pressure and low moisture advection. Model consensus shows limited spread in peak temperature, with minor differences arising from boundary-layer mixing rates and exact wind speeds that could shift the daily maximum between the low and mid-90s. Traders appear to weigh these variables evenly, as reflected in closely matched probabilities for the 88–89°F and 92–93°F bins, while awaiting any final model updates before resolution.
