This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 1 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Max (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Trader consensus clusters around 30–31°C as the most likely maximum for Hong Kong on September 1, reflecting official forecasts of unsettled conditions that limit daytime heating.** A broad low-pressure trough and possible disturbance tracking south of the territory are expected to produce mainly cloudy skies with showers and thunderstorms, especially early in the day, reducing solar insolation and promoting evaporative cooling. North to northeasterly winds of force 4–5, occasionally stronger offshore or on high ground, will advect slightly drier continental air, further moderating temperatures. The Hong Kong Observatory’s nine-day outlook caps the range at 27–31°C, consistent with climatological early-September averages near 30°C but tempered by above-normal cloud and rainfall. Model agreement on this pattern supports the tight spread between the top two outcomes, with upside to 32°C requiring clearer skies or a slower system passage that current guidance does not favor.
