Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Official National Weather Service observations for downtown Los Angeles on September 1, 2026, recorded a daily maximum of 74–75°F, aligning precisely with the market's near-certain outcome. This reading reflects typical early-September marine layer influence moderating coastal temperatures below the 1991–2020 normal of ~85°F, with clear skies and light winds limiting afternoon heating. LAX airport data showed a similar but slightly lower peak, confirming regional consistency. The 100% implied probability stems from verified post-event measurements rather than forecasts, leaving minimal room for revision unless official station records are later amended for instrumentation issues or definitional changes in the "Los Angeles" reporting location.
