Recent National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts position New York City’s August 30 high temperature in the low-to-mid 80s, driven by partly sunny skies, southwest flow, and a 40% chance of afternoon showers that limit peak heating. With seasonal norms near 82°F and no strong high-pressure ridge or cold front in place, these conditions favor the market-leading 82–83°F and 84–85°F bins. Recent model runs show limited spread, reflecting typical late-summer variability where cloud cover and humidity can trim maxima by a few degrees; updated guidance tomorrow morning will refine the final observed high used for resolution.
