Official National Weather Service forecasts for Miami on August 29, 2026, indicate a high near 89–91°F under mostly sunny skies with easterly winds of 5–10 mph and a 50–60% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. These conditions, typical for late-summer South Florida, allow temperatures to climb into the upper 80s to low 90s before convection and increased cloud cover cap further rises, consistent with seasonal norms and the absence of anomalous ridging or suppressed moisture. High dew points near 78–80°F will elevate heat indices above 100°F, but actual air temperature peaks hinge on the precise timing and coverage of storms, which explains the close market split between 90–91°F and 92–93°F bins amid ongoing model refinements.
