Persistent high humidity and frequent thunderstorm activity are keeping Miami's overnight lows elevated, with official forecasts from the National Weather Service and multiple models converging on minimum temperatures of 80–82°F for August 29. East-southeast winds advecting moist Atlantic air, combined with extensive cloud cover, limit radiational cooling and maintain dew points near 75°F. This setup aligns with recent observations of daily lows in the upper 70s to low 80s amid above-normal heat indices. The closely matched market probabilities across 80–83°F bins reflect genuine uncertainty in exact storm timing and intensity, which could permit modest additional cooling if convection clears earlier than expected. No major tropical systems are influencing the region at present, though updated NWS guidance ahead of the overnight period remains the key near-term catalyst.
