A cold front sweeping across southern Germany after Tuesday's peak of 33°C is driving the sharp cooldown, with official forecasts from the German Weather Service and multiple models converging on a Thursday high of 18–20°C under mostly cloudy skies and light northeasterly winds. This post-frontal air mass, drier and several degrees below seasonal norms, has compressed the probability distribution around 19°C (43.5%) and 20°C (25.5%), consistent with ensemble guidance showing limited diurnal warming. Historical September 10 averages near 20.5°C provide context, yet the recent 10°C drop and stable high pressure favor the current cooler consensus over any late rebound. Updated model runs and DWD briefings on Wednesday evening remain the key near-term catalysts for any shift in implied odds.
