Forecast models from NOAA and the National Weather Service indicate Houston temperatures on September 13 will likely peak in the low-to-mid 90s, driving the close contest between the 94-95°F and 92-93°F bins. Key variables include afternoon dew points near 70°F, variable cloud cover that could limit or enhance heating, and light southerly winds limiting mixing. Historical September averages near 91°F provide baseline context, but daily model runs show spread from mid-80s to upper 90s depending on exact timing of any sea breeze or convective activity. Traders are weighting the latest high-resolution guidance, with resolution hinging on the official maximum recorded at the primary airport station.
