Current National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to an overnight low near 59°F in Seattle on August 24, driven by moderate onshore flow from the Pacific, light variable winds, and partly cloudy skies that limit radiational cooling. Typical late-summer climatology features average lows of 57–59°F, with marine air moderating extremes. Forecast spread between 56–60°F arises mainly from uncertainty in cloud cover and boundary-layer moisture; clearer conditions overnight could push readings toward the 56–57°F bin, while increased marine influence favors 58–59°F. Traders assign the highest implied probabilities to these adjacent ranges, reflecting the narrow window for model updates before the observation window closes.
