The Espírito Santo Senate race for two seats features a highly fragmented field, with recent polling from July showing Renato Casagrande (PSB) leading but many voters undecided at 70% in spontaneous surveys. This leaves the contest for second place open among a wide array of candidates, including incumbents Fabiano Contarato (PT) and Marcos do Val (Avante), Evair de Melo (Republicanos, backed by right-wing figures), Rose de Freitas, Maguinha Malta (endorsed by Senator Magno Malta), and others. Casagrande's formal entry into the race has not yet consolidated support behind a clear runner-up, while party strategies, regional endorsements, and turnout dynamics among undecided voters sustain the tight implied probabilities. Upcoming campaign events and any new polling could shift positioning ahead of the October 4 vote.
