National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta on September 20 project a daytime high in the upper 80s to low 90s, driven by moderating easterly flow, increasing afternoon cloud cover, and a 40-60% chance of showers and thunderstorms that could cap peak readings. Recent model runs show consistency around 88-91°F, aligning with trader emphasis on the 90-91°F outcome at 40.5% implied probability, followed by 88-89°F. This positioning reflects typical late-September climatology where daytime heating competes with convective cooling, though any delay in storm development could push readings slightly higher within the favored bins. Updated NWS guidance and short-range model trends remain the key near-term catalysts.
