United Russia’s commanding position stems from its sweep of all 25 single-mandate districts and a clear lead in the proportional party-list vote during the September 18–20 election for the Sverdlovsk Oblast Legislative Assembly. Preliminary tallies showed the party exceeding 44 percent of the list vote, an improvement over 2021, while securing enough seats overall for a qualified majority. The ruling party benefited from unified candidate slates featuring the regional governor and other prominent figures, plus structural advantages in a mixed electoral system. Opposition parties including CPRF, New People, and A Just Russia trailed substantially. Late-stage counting disputes or successful legal challenges remain the primary scenarios that could still alter seat totals before final certification.
