The 2026 Quebec general election is scheduled to be held no later than October 5, 2026. This market will resolve to the individual who is formally appointed as Premier of Quebec as a result of the specified elections. To count for resolution, the individual must be formally appointed as Premier following the specified elections. Any interim or caretaker head of government will not count toward the resolution of this market. If no such Premier is appointed by June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Government of Quebec; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Paul St-Pierre Plamondon leads trader consensus for Quebec’s next premier, reflecting the Parti Québécois’s steady edge in late-summer polling and seat projections ahead of the October 5 election. Recent surveys from Nanos, Léger, and others show the PQ at roughly 28 percent support, ahead of the Coalition Avenir Québec and Liberals, with models assigning the party strong odds of securing the most seats under first-past-the-post rules despite popular-vote margins remaining narrow. Christine Fréchette’s CAQ trails but retains advantages on economic management and U.S. tariff concerns, narrowing gaps in some head-to-head leader ratings. Other candidates, including Liberal leader Charles Milliard, register minimal implied probabilities consistent with their lower polling and structural positioning. Ongoing leaders’ debates and referendum-related voter concerns continue to shape volatility within the campaign window.
