Forecast models from sources including the Met Office and Yr indicate a daytime high near 24°C for Mexico City on September 17, with peaks expected mid-afternoon under partly cloudy skies, northerly winds of 4–6 m/s, and scattered light rain or drizzle possible. This aligns with the market’s leading 24°C outcome at 40% implied probability, as the city’s high elevation near 2,240 m and typical September diurnal ranges of 10–14°C limit extreme excursions. Uncertainty between 23°C and 25°C+ stems from variable cloud cover and precipitation timing, which can suppress or allow brief warming; recent days have shown similar 23–25°C highs amid seasonal norms. Updated model runs and official observations the morning of the 17th will likely refine the exact maximum before market resolution.
