Recent National Weather Service and private forecast models converge on a high near 74–76°F for Seattle on September 17 under clear skies and light northerly flow. Persistent high pressure and minimal cloud cover are enabling strong daytime insolation with low humidity and little vertical mixing, supporting temperatures several degrees above the late-September climatological normal of roughly 70°F. Light winds from the north are limiting marine influence from Puget Sound while allowing efficient surface heating. The 74–75°F bin leads market-implied odds because ensemble guidance shows limited upside potential for 78°F+ without unexpected warming aloft, and downside risk remains low absent any coastal stratus intrusion. Updated model runs tomorrow morning will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
