In the Minas Gerais Senate race, where voters select two representatives, trader consensus on second place remains highly fragmented, with Marília Campos (PT), Gustavo Galassi, Marcelo Aro (PP), and several others clustered between roughly 18% and 23.5% implied probability. Recent July and early August 2026 polls, including those from Quaest and Real Time Big Data, show Campos leading overall but with no dominant contender for the runner-up spot amid a field of 17 registered candidates. Official campaigning only began days ago, leaving room for coalition negotiations, endorsements, and voter shifts to influence positioning before the October vote. Late developments such as stronger polling trends or key party alliances could consolidate support and widen gaps among the contenders.
