This market will resolve according to the individual who wins the CA-14 congressional district seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. The midterm elections will take place on November 3, 2026. This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).Aisha Wahab holds an 84% implied probability as the CA-14 winner, far ahead of Melissa Hernandez at 16%, reflecting trader consensus on her advantages in the Democratic-leaning East Bay district. Wahab secured the special election on August 18 with 53% of the vote to Hernandez’s 47%, overcoming millions in late outside spending from groups including AIPAC-backed PACs that narrowed an earlier 20-plus point primary lead. As the sitting state senator with strong labor and progressive endorsements, Wahab enters the November general as the de facto incumbent for the full term, while Hernandez—former Dublin mayor and BART board president—must overcome the same matchup dynamics in a district where Democrats routinely prevail in top-two contests. The special election results and Wahab’s grassroots performance have reinforced expectations that late mail ballots and turnout patterns will favor her again.
