Forecast models from agencies including the China Meteorological Administration and global ensembles like GFS indicate a minimum temperature of 23°C for Shanghai on September 17, 2026, under mostly cloudy skies with light easterly winds and no significant cold advection. This consensus aligns with recent observations showing overnight lows stabilizing near 22–24°C amid typical early-autumn humidity levels around 60–70%. The market’s 97% implied probability on 23°C reflects traders’ assessment of these stable conditions and limited model spread. A sudden shift in steering patterns or revised observational data from official stations could alter the recorded minimum, though current guidance shows low likelihood of deviation below 22°C or above 24°C.
