Recent polls for Maranhão's two Senate seats show a fragmented field with no dominant second-place contender, as multiple candidates—including incumbents Weverton Rocha (PDT) and Eliziane Gama (PT), along with Roseana Sarney (MDB), Duarte Jr. (Avante), Lahesio Bonfim (Novo), and André Fufuca (PP)—remain clustered in the low-to-mid teens. July and August surveys from Real Time Big Data and other firms highlight technical ties among seven or more names, reflecting limited name recognition shifts and balanced regional support ahead of the October vote. This dynamic sustains trader consensus around even odds for second place, with separation likely to emerge from final campaign momentum, coalition alignments, or turnout patterns in key municipalities rather than any single recent catalyst.
