Lula holds a commanding position to finish first in Pernambuco's October 4 first round, reflecting the incumbent president's entrenched support across the Northeast, where he was born and maintains deep voter ties through social programs and party organization. National polling shows him leading Flavio Bolsonaro by several points overall, with even wider margins in northeastern states like Pernambuco, Bahia, and Ceará. Trader consensus at 94.3% aligns with these patterns and historical voting trends favoring Workers' Party candidates in the region. Potential shifts could stem from turnout variations among key blocs, late campaign developments, or alliance realignments, though no major recent events have altered the state's baseline dynamics ahead of the vote.
