Lula's commanding lead in Ceará first-round voting intentions reflects the state's longstanding alignment with the PT and its candidate's record of strong Northeast support, as confirmed by multiple September 2026 polls showing the incumbent at 54-59% against Flávio Bolsonaro's 23-26% and single-digit or lower shares for all other contenders. Recent Datafolha and Real Time Big Data surveys indicate stable margins, with Lula's government approval near 63% in the state and limited movement despite opposition campaigning focused on judicial issues and regional outreach. Trader consensus at 96.4% for Lula as first-place finisher aligns with these consistent leads and historical patterns in Ceará, where structural voter preferences have sustained wide gaps. A late major scandal, health event, or unexpected coalition realignment could narrow the advantage, though no such developments have materialized in the current cycle.
