Current National Weather Service and model guidance for Los Angeles on September 3, 2026, shows overnight lows of 62–65 °F under clear to partly cloudy skies with light winds and a typical marine-layer influence. This aligns closely with the 1991–2020 climatological average low of ~64.6 °F for the date. Radiative cooling overnight will be modest given dew points near 60 °F and no strong high-pressure subsidence, limiting the chance of readings near or below 60 °F. Trader consensus reflected in the market-implied odds therefore clusters on the 62–67 °F bins, while the elevated weighting on 55 °F or below appears driven by awareness of rare historical outliers rather than current forecast data. Updated NWS briefings and next model runs remain the key near-term catalysts.
