Official National Weather Service and NOAA forecasts indicate a Seattle low around 56°F for August 28, consistent with the market's leading 56-57°F outcome at 34% implied probability. Persistent marine-layer stratus and increasing cloud cover from an approaching weak frontal system are moderating overnight radiative cooling, while light southwest winds limit mixing. Model consensus shows highs near 71-72°F followed by mid-to-upper 50s minima, with slight variations in rain timing and marine-layer depth creating the tight spread across 56-61°F bins. Historical August climatology places the average daily low near 56°F, supporting trader focus on these thresholds amid modest forecast uncertainty.
