Sweden’s parliamentary election on September 13 produced an initial counted turnout of 80.3 percent on election night, with final figures expected to rise by roughly three points as late and overseas ballots are tallied, placing the outcome near or modestly below the 84.2 percent recorded in 2022. Traders have priced the 82-84 percent band as the clear favorite because the tight contest between the centre-left and right-wing blocs generated steady but not exceptional mobilization, consistent with historical patterns in high-stakes yet non-polarizing Swedish campaigns. No major disruptions or unusually strong get-out-the-vote drives appear to have shifted participation significantly above recent norms.
