This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 15 May '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve to "Yes" until data for this date has been finalized. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Trader consensus overwhelmingly favors a lowest temperature of 25°C in Hong Kong on May 15, 2026 (99.8% implied probability), driven by Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) observational data showing early morning readings around 27°C at 3 a.m. and 26°C by evening under a lingering trough of low pressure fostering cloudy skies and high humidity (88%). This warm, moist air mass suppresses radiative cooling, aligning with seasonal forecasts of normal to above-normal temperatures for May, where historical minima average 24–25°C amid frequent showers. Model consensus from HKO's 9-day outlook indicates stable overnight conditions with minimal drop potential. A realistic challenge would require unexpected clearing and drier air overnight—unlikely given current persistence of the trough—but could shave 1°C if winds lighten significantly before dawn. Final HKO daily records expected post-midnight.
