Sweden's September 13 parliamentary election produced a narrow projected majority for the centre-left opposition bloc (Social Democrats, Left Party, Greens, and Centre Party) over the incumbent right-wing Tidö parties (Moderates, Christian Democrats, Liberals, and Sweden Democrats support), with seat projections around 176–173 in the 349-seat Riksdag as counting neared completion. The Social Democrats stayed the largest party at roughly 28%, while the Sweden Democrats fell sharply and the Liberals cleared the 4% threshold to retain seats. Final tallies of overseas and late ballots, due by mid-week, could shift the razor-thin margin and influence bloc negotiations. Both sides have launched coalition talks amid divisions over government formation, particularly Centre-Left tensions on ministerial roles and policy priorities such as crime, migration, welfare, and energy. All eight established parties appear positioned to secure representation under current projections.

Each market will resolve to "Yes" if the specified party receives at least one seat in the Swedish Riksdag as a result of the 2026 Swedish parliamentary elections. Otherwise that market will resolve to "No".
Seats will be counted only where they are attributed to the specified party. Seats attributed to another party or electoral designation will not count, regardless of electoral cooperation, endorsements, coalition agreements, or subsequent parliamentary-group arrangements. If the specified party formally merges into a successor party before the election and does not contest separately, seats officially attributed to that successor party will count.
If the results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, each market will resolve to "No".
Each market's resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the specified party in this election.
This market will resolve based on the results of this election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Swedish government, specifically the Swedish Election Authority (Valmyndigheten) (https://www.val.se/).
