The Chiclayo mayoral race features a crowded field ahead of the October 4 vote, with no candidate holding a commanding position in available polling or early positioning. Trader consensus prices reflect this fragmentation, as local issues such as public security, infrastructure needs, and economic pressures in the Lambayeque region have not yet produced clear separation among frontrunners like Duber Alberto Fernández Silva and others clustered in the mid-teens to low-30s. Limited recent campaign milestones, absence of major endorsements or scandals, and typical volatility in Peruvian municipal contests sustain the tight spread. Upcoming debates, candidate withdrawals, or late polling shifts could consolidate support and move probabilities before election day.
