The crowded field of over 20 candidates for Lima's October municipal election has kept implied probabilities closely distributed, with no single contender exceeding 30% in trader consensus amid party-system fragmentation and vote splitting among established names. Carlos Ricardo Bruce Montes de Oca leads listed options at 30%, followed by Francis James Allison Oyague and others, reflecting limited polling differentiation and the structural challenge of securing a majority in a multi-candidate race. Recent candidate inscriptions closing in June without a dominant frontrunner reinforced this dispersion, while upcoming debates, endorsements, and late-campaign momentum in key districts could consolidate support and shift probabilities ahead of the vote.
