Imelda Castro Castro leads the Sinaloa gubernatorial field at 42.5% in trader pricing ahead of the June 2027 vote, followed by María Teresa Guerra Ochoa at 24%, with the balance fragmented across more than two dozen lower-probability names. Security concerns tied to cartel violence and organized crime remain the dominant campaign theme, shaping party positioning and voter priorities in this high-stakes state. Multiple viable contenders from Morena and opposition coalitions, combined with internal polling volatility and the emphasis on female candidates, sustain the close contest. Upcoming party conventions, candidate confirmations, or shifts in public security metrics could widen gaps by clarifying frontrunner momentum.
