Gubernatorial elections are currently scheduled to be held in Chihuahua on June 6, 2027. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate who wins the 2027 Chihuahua gubernatorial elections. Any interim or caretaker Governor will not qualify. If the results are not known definitively by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to “Other”. This market will resolve based on the results of this election, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve solely based on official results as reported by government sources of Chihuahua and Mexico, including the Electoral Institute of Chihuahua and the National Electoral Institute of Mexico. The Chihuahua gubernatorial race for 2027 remains highly competitive, with trader consensus reflecting a fragmented field of more than two dozen potential candidates across Morena, PAN, PRI, and smaller parties. Internal divisions within Morena—particularly between leading contenders Cruz Pérez Cuéllar and Andrea Chávez Treviño—have slowed coalition formation and made the binding poll process contentious, while PAN holds the incumbent advantage through María Eugenia Campos Galván’s administration. Recent Mitofsky and El Economista surveys show Morena preferences in the low-to-mid 30s against a divided opposition, keeping individual candidate odds clustered near one another. Party conventions, alliance negotiations, and any late shifts in voter sentiment ahead of the June 2027 vote could quickly widen the gap among frontrunners.
