Persistent southerly flow and high pressure across North Texas are sustaining elevated overnight minimums, with National Weather Service and private model guidance converging on lows of 79–81°F for Dallas on September 16 amid clear skies and dew points near 68–70°F. This setup explains the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 80–83°F while leaving room for modest shifts if boundary-layer mixing or subtle wind changes alter radiational cooling. Historical September averages near 70°F underscore the current anomaly, but with no frontal passages or significant moisture return expected before resolution, traders are weighting the latest deterministic and ensemble runs most heavily. Updated NWS briefings and 00Z model cycles will provide the next key data points for refining these probabilities.
