United Russia maintains its commanding lead in the September 2026 State Duma elections through its status as the ruling party, extensive regional structures, and advantages in Russia's mixed proportional and single-mandate system. Preparations led by the presidential administration include a party list headed by Dmitry Medvedev alongside other pro-government figures, while recent regional votes demonstrated strong performance for United Russia-aligned candidates amid reports of high administrative mobilization. Opposition parties face significant barriers, including candidate disqualifications and limited access to media. Trader consensus reflects these structural factors, though shifts could arise from unexpected changes in voter turnout, major geopolitical developments, or unforeseen institutional adjustments before the vote.
