This market will resolve to "Yes" if Rep. Ilhan Omar is officially deported from the United States by December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." Deportation is defined as the formal removal of Omar from the US by government authorities due to legal or administrative reasons. Voluntary departure, extradition, or relocation without an official deportation order will not count. A removal order that has not been implemented will not be sufficient to resolve this market. The resolution source will be credible reporting from major news outlets or official government statements. As a naturalized U.S. citizen since 2000, Rep. Ilhan Omar benefits from strong legal protections that bar deportation absent a successful federal court denaturalization proceeding proving willful fraud during naturalization. Recent developments, including President Trump's August 2026 references to potential ICE enforcement actions tied to longstanding immigration fraud allegations and statements from Vice President Vance, have fueled political rhetoric and calls for investigation. However, no denaturalization suit, criminal charges, or removal order has been filed publicly through mid-2026, despite partisan pressure and social media campaigns. Traders assign a 96.6% probability to "No" due to the high evidentiary burden, procedural safeguards for citizens and members of Congress, and absence of active litigation. Late-year developments such as new DOJ filings or court rulings on fraud claims could still shift outcomes before December 31.
