Recent forecast runs from the ECMWF, ICON, and GFS ensembles indicate Munich’s minimum temperature on September 17 will likely fall between 10–12 °C, driven by clearing skies after Wednesday’s showers, light westerly winds, and enhanced nocturnal radiative cooling under moderate humidity. These conditions align with the climatological average low of 9.9 °C for the date while remaining above the historical extreme of –0.5 °C. Market-implied odds favor 8 °C or below at 37 % because traders weigh residual model spread and potential for clearer, calmer nights that could push readings lower than the consensus 11 °C minimum. Updated high-resolution guidance and any late-day observational adjustments from DWD stations will refine probabilities ahead of resolution.
