This market will resolve to the bracket within which the price for "Eggs, Grade A, Large (Cost per Dozen) in U.S. City Average" lies when the September data point is published by the St. Louis Fed (https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/APU0000708111). The St. Louis Fed bases its numbers for egg prices on the BLS's CPI release. The September release is presently scheduled for October 14, 2026. Resolution of this market will take place upon the update of the St. Louis Fed's chart. If no data for the specified month is released by the date the next month's data is scheduled to be released, this market will resolve based on data from the last available month. The resolution source for this market measures prices to the third decimal place. Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. If the reported value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket.**Recent U.S. egg prices have stabilized in the low-to-mid $2 range amid an oversupply following the 2025 avian influenza (HPAI) recovery.** The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported the national average for Grade A large eggs at $2.27 per dozen in August 2026, up modestly month-over-month but down sharply year-over-year from the $6.23 peak in March 2025. This reflects expanded layer flocks, higher lay rates, and reduced HPAI detections in 2026, which have boosted table-egg production by roughly 5% year-over-year while wholesale prices remain depressed near 35 cents per dozen. Trader consensus has converged on the $2.20–$2.30 bracket as the implied probability leader, with adjacent ranges capturing the balance, as markets price in continued supply normalization absent fresh outbreaks or major shifts in feed costs or seasonal demand. The next BLS release for September data will determine resolution.
