Official National Weather Service forecasts project a sunny, hot day across Dallas with a high near 102°F under clear skies, light southerly winds, and minimal cloud cover, consistent with a late-summer high-pressure ridge suppressing any cooling influences. This aligns with regional climatology for late August, where daily highs often reach the upper 90s to low 100s, though recent model runs show minor variations in peak timing and exact maximum due to localized heating and humidity levels that could push heat indices above 105°F. Trader emphasis on the 100-101°F range reflects the balance between forecast guidance and the narrow resolution bands, while the modest probability for 102-103°F accounts for potential afternoon peaks near the upper end of official expectations as the day progresses.
